(warning: this blog entry is ridiculously long, but I had to give my sister a little love)
Alright Everyone… Here it is… For those of you who haven’t heard the news, my sister Marilyn Myers is now married to Mr. George Moss. Marilyn & George were married at the amazing White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The White Oak Plantation is owned by the famous Louisiana chef, John Folse, and as you can imagine, the food was absolutely incredible.
The wedding day was beautiful, but the mystery of Louisiana weather made it quite interesting. A few raindrops, and then a bit of sunshine, and then throughout it all…. the fabulous humidity, that’s not only a curse to humanity, but also to camera equipment. Well… the show must go on, and the wedding was outside as planned, despite a raindrop or two that managed to escape the clouds above.
The day was a total success in every way, but as far as my job goes, it could not have been done without the amazing help that I received from two of my dearest friends, Michael Jordan from M.N. Jordan Photography, and Amber Faul from Amber Faul Photography. These two master photographers were there to allow me to spend some of the day with my family, and also to help insure that my sister had amazing images to remember her wedding day. Thanks to the both of you for the beautiful images and the amazing help.
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day… I hope you all enjoy.
Marilyn & our mother… (Marilyn is the first of the 3 of us to get married)

Marilyn’s receiving a bit of help from George’s mother, Fran.

My sister, Patti, was the maid of honor. Here she is looking so lovely. What a nice girl

And here she is, the beautiful Bride & my sister, Marilyn Myers.

The George Moss himself.

This looks serious, but I think my dad & George are trying to decide who looks more handsome in their tuxedo.

George with his mother, Fran, and his four nieces, Jessica, Dellie, Marianne, & Charlotte(left to right)

George’s Dad, J.W. Moss.

My dad & the proud father of the bride, Roy Myers.

Just before making their way to their seats, George’s dad and his wife Christy were feeling for raindrops while investigating the clouds.

George with both mothers… what a guy!!!

The amazing food from the John Folse kitchen at White Oak. Sooo Delicious.

George had to have a taste of the catfish. I really can’t blame him.

Patti and our cousin Jonathan from Beaumont, Texas. He’s one of my best pals ever, and ladies… He’s single. (so am I, but Jonathan really has the handsome thing happening)

My cousin Evan… what a guy! As always, he was the life of the party.

We’re not very good at posing…

Marilyn & I tried a get a few shots together, but we always lose control.

My dad, Roy Myers, having a good time on the dance floor.

Once again… Jonathan Pickering… the Renaissance Man.

Instead of a signing book at the reception, Marilyn opted to use a Louisiana cookbook for all of the guests to sign and leave her a note…

This is the gauntlet of rose pedals that Marilyn and George had to survive before heading off on the honeymoon.
